We left Champaign this morning and headed home. We had planned to stop at a new Super Hero museum in Indianapolis, but there was a car convention right near there and we had trouble finding any parking so we drove on, promising The Boy we would hit it next trip.
As we neared Dayton, he exclaimed from the backseat, "Let's do the Air Force Museum!" We have been there many times. I like it, Riah and Wayne like it, and best of all it's free, so it's a great stretch your legs stop on the way to Grandma's. It nothing but huge hangers full of planes, exhibited in very interesting ways. You kind of notice something new everytime, but Riah of course has his favorite things there. He loves the space suit. He loves the space food. There are certain planes he likes as well. We all have our favorites. We had a nice time, killed too much time probably!
We went to the Wright Brothers National Memorial near the museum to get the National Park Passport stamp we had skipped getting for Riah (and us once again) the week before. We were closer to the Vistor's Center this weekend at the Air Force Museum than we were last weekend at the actual test flight site.
We got home around 9:30. It's nice to be here. Had a great trip, but always good to be home.
Oh.... one more thing, the personalized Disney CARS shirt Riah and I had ordered him for his trip came WHILE WE WERE GONE FINALLY! We ordered it in plenty of time, it just never showed up. It came the Monday after we left, Pappy saw the UPS driver outside our house and got it for us. It was setting inside the door for Riah when he arrived home. He liked the Tex Coupe Devile from the movie and loved getting his unique name printed on something.
