We've traveled sections of Route 66 for as long as I remember. We used to live in Illinois, and we spent time in Springfield occasionally. So, when Champaign was home, the Mother Road skirted near us the whole time. I wish I had the digital ability to snap a million pictures back then. I often found myself "being careful" when snapping, so we didn't have tons of pictures to develope. As a result, many of our travels along Route 66 are lost to our memories. Just as much of Route 66 itself is lost to memories! But, of late we have found ourselves cruisin' along portions of the road again. I wish we had pictures from the California stretches we have done. I know it will be hard to find our way back there anytime soon!

We traveled 66 with Riah before all the hype about the Pixar Cars movie came out. So you can imagine the delight we found in getting to see it! Riah says it's his favorite movie ever. I liked it a lot too. It had a good message, and I am sure it has introduced many families to the nostalgia that we love pertaining to Route 66. It was released on November 3 to DVD. Riah asked after seeing the movie if we could begin to develope an area on the website for Mother Road travels. So here it it folks. Nothing fancy, but a little fun.

Be sure to check out all the new pictures, some old favorites, and even shots of Riah's Route 66 license plate bedroom. Get some kicks on Riah's Route 66!!!
